Challenge
To develop the Whose Town? interactive heritage project for a wider audience. To create a portal for all of Edinburgh Library's heritage resources and collections.
Solution
Creation of an interactive website using stories, images and historical maps pinned to a Google Map of Edinburgh to engage and inform our audience.
Outcome
Feedback is good already and several local heritage groups have been in touch with the library to add their own stories. Official launch February 2013, watch this space for more updates.
This is an opportunity to capture people’s imagination, to find out about the wonderful stories and special things that have happened in Edinburgh in the past.
