Tullis Russell Business Game
An interactive training game for Tullis Russell Papermakers to encourage employees to take responsibility and interest in the company’s fortunes by becoming a virtual director.
Our client wanted to communicate the impact of each and every stakeholder’s actions on the business and beyond. Our task was to create a tool that would highlight the need for shared responsibility throughout the employee owned company at a senior staff business-planning workshop.
We gave staff the role of director for a year. The user is given a choice of possible actions to take in answer to everyday scenarios. The result of each action is rated in terms of the effect to turnover, environmental impact, health and safety, PR and staff relations. At the end of the game the user finds out if they made the company a success or failure.
A hit in training, the exercise was then included in staff induction sessions.
This really makes you think and take responsibility.
